Well, in light of the climate of the world I broke down and got myself a HAM Radio and will be studying for my Technician License so that I can legally transmit. So far I’ve programmed local weather and emergency frequencies and have been listening in, but I want to be legal when it comes to transmitting.
This is something that I recommend that all of you do. We don’t know when disaster will strike, and if/when cell towers go down staying connected to loved ones and having a rally plan are critical. I’m not the most hardcore of preppers, because people take things WAY too far. But preparedness is still very important! If COVID-19 taught us anything it’s that you should prepare for the worst and keep at least a week or more of supplies on-hand at all times.
If anyone is interested in getting into HAM Radio let me know! I’ve got a ton of resources I would gladly share!
